Updated (2/10/11) VIEW THE GAME DAY SCHEDULE
The South Florida Kickball Open (SFKO) is a national tournament that is open to kickball teams from all over the world. It is an open tournament, meaning that teams do not have to be invited nor otherwise qualify in order to take part in the tournament – any kickball team can register to play. In fact, a team does not even have to be part of any official, organized kickball league, national or otherwise. Anyone can create a team and register that team to play. The only requirements are that team rosters are limited to a maximum of 20 members per team, teams must field at least 4 members of each sex, and all team members must be at least 21 yrs or older on the day of the tournament.
SFKO is one of the largest and most competitive open tournaments in the kickball world. We strive to provide teams with a superior tournament weekend experience filled with highly-competitive games played on great quality fields, and fun parties in a relaxed social atmosphere, both before and after the tournament.
Would your team jump at a chance to play against other competitive kickball teams from outside of your division or home state? Think your team has what it takes to compete and win against some of the top kickball teams in the country? If you are tired of playing the same old teams in your regular division over and over again, season after season, are looking for a fresh challenge on the kickball field, and your team is willing to step up to the plate, then come on down to sunny South Florida in February, and get ready for some serious competitive kickball!
What could be better than spending a weekend in warm, sunny South Florida in the middle of Winter? Come play in the South Florida Kickball Open tournament, party with some fellow kickballers from across the nation, and spend a day or two relaxing on the beach, enjoying the sun, surf, sand and of course, the great restaurants and bars along Fort Lauderdale beach. We look forward to seeing you at the tournament in February!

Registration for the 2011 South Florida Kickball Open tournament opens Today for returning teams from SFKO 2010 only. If your team played in SFKO 2010, you can register to play in SFKO 2011 starting from Monday October 18th through Sunday October 31st.
On Monday November 1st, general registration will open up for everyone that wishes to play in the 2011 tournament. If your team DID NOT play in SFKO 2010, you must wait until Monday November 1st to register for SFKO 2011.
Right now, the number of teams in the 2011 torunament will be capped at 35 teams max. Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. If more than 35 teams register, the additional teams will be placed on a waiting list. If a team between 1 and 35 drops out, then the next team on the wait list will take that open spot. If we have more than 35 teams sign up, we will try to increase the number of fields available to accommodate additional teams, if possible.
To register, click on the registration link in the navigation menu bar above.
You may have noticed that the SFKO website now has a different look than when you last saw it. It was about time for a new look. ;) We are still in the process of tweaking things, so you may continue to notice little changes here and there over time as we put the finishing touches on the overall design. Some sections are not available as yet, but we will be filling them with information and making them accessible as appropriate and as the tournament date draws nearer. So, as we like to say, check back often for updates.
Well, the big news is that the date for the SFKO 2011 tournament has been announced asSaturday February 19th 2011.
Also, starting this year, SFKO is a Kickball365 Circuit Event, and is being presented by theInternational Kickball Federation. As the very first tournament of the calendar year, the SFKO tournament will kick off a series of competitive kickball Circuit tournaments being held across the country which all combine along with SFKO to make up the Circuit National Tour.
You have the option to register your teams for the Circuit and earn circuit points by attending Circuit tournaments, and may qualify for an invite to the Circuit Championship at the end of the year. You can find more information about the Circuit at the Kickball365.com website.
In the meantime, start making arrangements to attend SFKO 2011 and if you live in another state or country, start booking those flight reservations now. :)
